This Popup tent for one person made of high quality silver fabric is designed for shielding high frequency electromagnetic fields (EMF) including 5G frequencies.  The electrically conductive surface also allows users to shield low-frequency alternating electric fields (LF) with the grounding set GCM available on this website.

EMF attenuation:  44 dB (99.995%) at 1 GHz*.

Tent features: This shielding tent is sewn with a high quality silver fabric with high transparency and air permeability.  It pops up by itself without assemble and is closed on all sides with silver fabric and zippers for perfect shielding.  The canopy is 95 cm wide, 210 cm long and 55 cm tall.  width, depth and height of the canopy are 95 cm, 210 cm and 55 cm (+/- 5% tolerance).

Fabric Features: The silver fabric is made from 85% nylon and 15% silver, with a silver-beige colour.  It can be washed at 30 degrees Celsius on gentle cycle, preferably with Texcare detergent, but should not be ironed.  As the fabric is made with uncoated silver, there will be some discolouration but this does not affect the fabric's attenuation performance.

This popup tent includes: tent with sewn in bars and a carrying bag.

Caution:
Shades, differences in color and batik-style discolorations are not a manufacturing or quality defect. Coating materials in silver follows a special chemical process.  Colour commitment and homogeneity of the silver tone cannot be guaranteed by the manufacturer.  Production-related variations in shades, color and batik-like discolorations are possible. This, however, has no impact on the surface resistance and efficacy of the product and does not constitute grounds for refund or product exchange.


Rental terms:

  • The rental fee for the shielding tent is HK$300 per week. A security deposit (by cheque or in cash) of HK$6,600 is required. The deposit will be returned once the renter returns the shielding tent to Building Biology Central.
  • Rental period begins on the day of pick-up and ends on the day of return.
  • The renter is required to pick up and return the shielding tent in person at the office of Building Biology Central Limited in Central.
  • The renter is required to fill in a rental form to provide personal details and to acknowledge receipt of the shielding tent in good condition.
  • Extra rental fee equivalent to the weekly rate will be incurred for late return of the shielding tent.
  • The renter must keep and return the shielding tent in good condition. In case of damage and loss of the shielding tent/component, the renter should pay for the repair cost or the market price of the shielding tent/component for compensation, or the deposit will be forfeited.
  • The renter must request for an extension, which to be agreed by Building Biology Central to extend the rental period.
